Our Process

A closer look at the five stages between the first message and a finished pool.

What this isn't

What our process doesn't do

Two honest limits before the detail.

We don't quote sight-unseen — every estimate follows a site assessment.

We don't start excavation without a signed layout and written estimate.

1

Request

You send the contact form or call the office. We ask a few questions about the yard, the general idea, and your timeline so the assessment visit is useful from the start.

2

Site assessment

A visit to measure the yard, check grading and drainage, and review access for equipment. You get a written summary and a starting-range estimate for the scope discussed — no pressure to commit on the spot.

3

Layout & scheduling

Once a layout is agreed, we confirm the construction package, submit the municipal permit application, and slot the project against crew availability and inspection timing.

4

Construction

Excavation, structural shell, plumbing and electrical rough-in, and decking tie-in proceed in sequence, with a single project lead on site through each phase.

5

Handover & follow-up

A walkthrough covers start-up guidance for the new equipment. From there, maintenance and seasonal opening/closing support can be arranged directly with the same team.

Materials involved

What goes into a build

The physical components referenced in the process above.

Shell materials

Gunite, vinyl liner or fiberglass, selected during the consultation based on yard conditions and budget.

Circulation equipment

Pump, filter and plumbing sized to the pool shell during rough-in.

Decking materials

Concrete, stone or composite surround options reviewed during the consultation.

Safety hardware

Entry ladders and, where applicable, fencing components to meet Ontario pool-safety requirements.

Still have questions?

A couple of process questions

Full list on the FAQ page.

Who handles the municipal permit?

We prepare and submit the permit application as part of the construction package once the layout is agreed.

Do you subcontract the whole build?

Our own project lead stays on site through every phase; only the specialized electrical and plumbing rough-in is coordinated with licensed trades.

Read every question on the FAQ page.

Scheduling

How timing is set

What moves a project schedule, in plain terms.

Once a layout is agreed, the project is slotted against two things: municipal permit and inspection timing, which we do not control, and crew availability, which we do. We would rather tell you a realistic window up front than promise a date we cannot keep — if permitting runs long in a given season, every client on the schedule is told as soon as we know, not after the fact. Most clients move from signed layout to the start of excavation within a few business days of permit approval.

After the handover

The process does not end at the final walkthrough. Owners who want ongoing support can arrange maintenance visits or seasonal opening and closing directly with the same project lead who managed the build, so the person who knows your specific pool continues to be the one looking after it rather than handing the file to someone unfamiliar with the layout.

Every stage above is documented in the written estimate and the handover notes, so if a question comes up months later about what was agreed at a given step, there is a paper record to check rather than relying on memory.
